  રાતે જન્મ લઈશ ?

રાતભર વાદળો વચ્ચે 

છૂપા છૂપી રમે  ચાંદ ,

ધરતી ને આપી હાથ તાલિ 

વાદળો પાછળ છુપે ચાંદ ;

પણ , ના  છુપવું મારે ,

સજાઉં રાતભર સપના 

માની જેને , 

તે ચાંદની ના ;

અને જો ખુલી આંખ , તો ભાગવું  !

હકીકતો ની રાત તો 

અમાસ જેવી કાળી ;

ચાંદની ક્યાં ?

ના ભાગવા મળે કદી બહાર 

તો ભીતર જઈ  ભરાવું ,

તું ક્યાં જઈશ ?

તને દિવસે ના મળું 

તો 

રાતે જન્મ લઈશ ?
