 કાલ રાત 

સપનો માં આવી ને કેમ પૂછ્યું ,

"  પ્રિતમ ,

મળીશ મને એકાંત માં 

પળ બે પળ  ? "

સાંભળી , 

તને દિન ભર  શોધતો રહ્યો ,

ઘેઘૂર ઘટા જેવા 

તારા કાળા ભમ્મર ઝુલ્ફો નીચે 

દિન ભર તને શોધતો રહ્યો !

કયા વાદળ ની પછીતે 

છૂપી છો  ?

પણ તેં કેમ ન શોધ્યો મને ?

પરોવી લે આંખ માં મારી આંખ તારી ,

ઉતરી અંદર ,

હું તો તારા ઘટ માં સમાયો છું  !

માણસો થી ખદબદતા સંસાર માં ,

ખૂણો એકાંત પકડી 

હું જ બેઠો છું  ;

હજુ પણ 

નથી છોડી આશ મેં ,

કાન માંડી બેઠો છું ,

તારા પગરવ ની 

આશ માંડી બેઠો  છું
