ગઈ રાત , ગઈ વાત 

આવી ને સપના માં 

તેં પૂછ્યું ,

"  આવીશ મારી સાથ  ?

જ્યાં આભ ને મળવા ધરતી ,

આંખો થી ઓઝલ થાય છે ,

અને ધરતી ને મળવા આભ ,

ક્ષિતિજ ની બાંહો માં 

અદ્રશ્ય થાય છે ;

દૂર , ખૂબજ દૂર જમાના થી ,

તું અને હું ,

કેમ ના બની જાય 

જમાના થી બેખૂદ  ? "

કેમ પૂછ્યું  ?  જાણવા છતાં  કેમ  ?

ઉઘાડી આંખે , સંસાર ની સાખે ,

તને જો લઇ જઈ શક્યો ના 

ઉંબરા ની ઉસપાર ,

તો ભલા સપના માં , બંધ કર આંખ ,

કેમ કરી લઇ જાઉં 

ક્ષિતિજ ની પાર  ?
