કૈંક એવા દિવસ પણ આવ્યા ,
જાણે આવતા ની સાથે જ ગયા !
દિવસો જેની ,
ઉષા ખીલતા પહેલા
સંધ્યા ઢળી ;
મારી બેબશી તો જુઓ ,
નજરે ન આવે કોઈ રસ્તો ,
પહોંચે નજર જ્યાં સુધી ,
એક પછી એક દેખાય
બસ ડુંગરા ને ડુંગરા ;
પાછા વળી વળી ને જોયું
પણ ના જોઈ કોઈ મંઝિલ ,
ના મારી રાહ જોતી
કોઈ પગથાર ;
ના રમ્યો કોઈ રમત
બચપણ માં ,
ના મળી જુવાની માં
કોઈ ધડકન ;
ઉમ્ર નો લાંબો રસ્તો
સપના જોતા જ વીત્યો ,
ઘણો કાપ્યો ,
બચ્યો થોડો ;
કઈ બચી આશાઓ ના
ફૂલ વેરું ?
કરી શું , સઁવારું ?
હવે રાત વિત્યા પછી
દિવસ નહિ ,
બીજી રાત આવે છે !
